About gaelharrison

I am married to John, and we are back living in Fife in Scotland. I have three grown up kids. Geraldine, who is married to Cathal and they have two children, Darcey and Dillon, Natasha who is married to Leo and they have Bonnie and Hazel and they all live in Wales, and Nick. Travel has been a big part of my life, especially in the last seventeen years, but now I just love being back in the 'bonny land'.

Crowns in the making

Woke up in a cloud this morning. The view from the 33rd floor of the Zig Zag was Zero. It was almost celestial. I half expected to see an angel or two plod pass the window. Busy week, ‘back’ issues … Continue reading

Joan Crawford

That’s the actress I was thinking of…huge eyebrows and clownlike lips. Scary.

The Beauty Salon

As I write this I am watching the third of the Chilean miners being reunited with the wider world. I actually felt emotional for this one, as he hugged and hugged his wife, who looked a stoical sort of woman. … Continue reading

Backs and things

Just finished a fantastic book about the Mitfords, Letters between six sisters. So intimate, and when I think of last week I didn’t know anything about them suddenly I am an authority and feel as though I have lived the last … Continue reading
